Our lodge is situated on the trendy Praia da Barra (Barra Beach) in Inhambane, Mozambique. Vista Do Mar is a modern, tastefully furnished lodge that offers 19 stylish air-conditioned rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and magnificent sea views! Pristine beaches, unique mangrove eco-system, multiple attractions and activities make Barra an idyllic location.
A Quiet Corner of the Mozambican Coast
Set on the secluded beaches of Praia da Barra in Inhambane, Vista Do Mar is a modern, tastefully furnished lodge with 19 en-suite, air-conditioned rooms. The name means View of the Sea, and the lodge is built around it: unspoilt beaches, a unique mangrove eco-system and the warm Indian Ocean, all a short walk from your door. Days here are made for slowing down.
Fresh Meals and Sundowners by the Pool
A local chef cooks a range of meals fresh each day, served in a rustic dining and lounge area with a fully stocked bar, a pool table and a big-screen television. When you would rather not go anywhere, the sparkling pool has sunbeds for lazy afternoons and cocktails as the sun drops. Eat in as often as you like.
Excursions and Activities
The waters off Barra are the real draw. Dive or snorkel reefs alive with manta rays, dolphins and whale sharks, head out on an ocean safari, or fish the deep sea for your dinner. Back on land there are dhow trips, quad trails, sunset cruises and a spa, enough to fill a day or to skip entirely.

Great Stay with Beautiful Sea View
I really enjoyed my stay at Vista do Mar. It is well located and offers a beautiful sea view, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was great, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

Everything is just perfect
The staff are fantastic and really go all out for you. We also learnt a bit of Portuguese from the staff which the kids absolutely loved.

Immediately on the beach front. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good. Paolo and Mateus looked after us brilliantly
